Sprained Ankle

What is a Sprained Ankle?

A Sprained Ankle is when one or more of the ligaments are actually torn - partial or full. Kind of like over-stretching an elastic band, so that is doesn't go back to its original shape and size. If the ligaments are stretched beyond their capacity, the fibers will tear or rupture. The pain can be excruciating with visible swelling.

Strains are most common on the outside of the ankle, affecting the lateral ligaments, namely, the: Posterior talofibular ligament, Anterior talofibular ligament, Calcaneofibular ligament, Anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament and the Posterior inferior tibiofibular ligament.

What can FIR Socks do to help?

The threads in FarInfraredFashion.com products are fused with a safe formula of bio-ceramics that emit beneficial far infrared rays (FIR). These waves of soothing energy penetrate deep into the tissues of your body and basically increase (stimulate) the molecular activity of the cells.

The stimulation of the tiny capillaries and veins in your body dilate the cells and allow fresh oxygenated blood containing vital nutrients to reach afflicted areas. Pain is eased, swelling and inflammation is greatly reduced, and the healing process is promoted.

Far Infrared Rays are very helpful in reducing inflammation and relieving your pain. Depending on the severity of your condition and how long you have been experiencing symptoms, it may take a bit longer to feel the benefits of natural FIR therapy.
