Tarsal Tunnel Pain

What is Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome?

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome "... a painful foot condition in which the tibial nerve is stressed and squeezed, as it travels through the tarsal tunnel. Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome (TTS) is also known as 'Posterior Tibial Nerve Neuralgia'."

Down the back of the leg and reaching down into the foot is a "sleeve" or “tunnel” where the tendons and nerves from the calf pass through to the foot.

The nerve that passes through this narrow tunnel is called the "Tibial Nerve".

The space occupied by the Tibial Nerve is called the “The Tarsal Tunnel”.

Pinching or compression of the Tibial Nerve sets into motion a progressively crippling disorder that eventually results in pain, numbness, and tingling in the ankles and feet.

    Treating Tarsal Tunnel:

Basically, the idea is to reduce the inflammation, tingling, numbness and pain. We recommend natural therapies, if at all possible. Infrared Socks are safe and easy to wear and can be used under your splint or brace, as well as by themselves.

When comparing with treatments like Cortisone shots or surgery, Far Infrared Socks offer unique effective pain relief and healing by targeting the cause of tarsal tunnel syndrome at the molecular level.

If you have Tarsal Tunnel pain in your feet, we recommend using Far Infrared Socks to relieve your pain and reduce inflammation.

Why Do FIR products help TTS?

The threads in Far Infrared products we carry, are fused with a safe formula of bio-ceramics that emit beneficial far infrared rays (FIR). These waves of soothing energy penetrate deep into the tissues of your body and basically increase (stimulate) the molecular activity of the cells.

The stimulation of the tiny capillaries and veins in your body dilate the cells and allow fresh oxygenated blood containing vital nutrients to reach afflicted areas. Swelling is reduced, accumulated toxins are released, and the healing process is promoted.

Far Infrared Rays are very helpful in reducing inflammation and relieving the pain of Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome (TTS). Depending on the severity of your condition and how long you have been experiencing symptoms, it may take a bit longer to feel the benefits of natural FIR therapy.
